The NEBOSH National General Certificate was devised to allow those working within a health and safety related position (Directors, General Managers, Supervisors, HR Managers etc.) to gain the skills and knowledge to be able to create a safe working environment, conduct risk assessments, implement health and safety measures, and provide advice to co-workers in a variety of situations.
The NEBOSH National General Certificate is a 10-day course and covers an extensive variety of health and safety related practices and procedures, including understanding the UK’s legal health and safety requirements, identifying common workplace hazards, conducting occupational risk assessments, implementing adequate safety measures and much more. Across the 10 days, the course is split into two units, NG1: Health and Safety Management, and NG2 Risk Assessment.
To successfully pass this NEBOSH General Certificate Training Course, you will need to complete an open book exam based on unit NG1 and can be at completed home. Following this is a practical assignment which is based on unit NG2.

This course is best suited to those working in construction, civil engineering and broadcasting, such as site managers and supervisors, health and safety advisors, contracts managers and site workers with health and safety responsibilities.
In order to complete the NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction Course, delegates will need to complete an open book exam featuring questions regarding real life workplace scenarios and a risk assessment task. Delegates have 48 hours to submit the exam. Delegates will be informed of their exam results around 10-12 weeks after completion.
The NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety, formally known as the NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management, is a worldwide recognised qualification. Assessment of the NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate Course will consist of delegates completing an open book exam and a practical risk assessment with written report.
