The NEBOSH National General Certificate was devised to allow those working within a health and safety related position (Directors, General Managers, Supervisors, HR Managers etc.) to gain the skills and knowledge to be able to create a safe working environment, conduct risk assessments, implement health and safety measures, and provide advice to co-workers in a variety of situations.
The NEBOSH National General Certificate is a 10-day course and covers an extensive variety of health and safety related practices and procedures, including understanding the UK’s legal health and safety requirements, identifying common workplace hazards, conducting occupational risk assessments, implementing adequate safety measures and much more. Across the 10 days, the course is split into two units, NG1: Health and Safety Management, and NG2 Risk Assessment.
To successfully pass this NEBOSH General Certificate Training Course, you will need to complete an open book exam based on unit NG1 and can be at completed home. Following this is a practical assignment which is based on unit NG2.
If you’re a manager, supervisor or employee who often deals with managing environment issues, the NEBOSH Environmental Certificate is for you. The course maintains a strong focus on UK Law and looks at different environmental management systems, identifying sources of energy and energy efficiency, hazards and controls in regard to air, land, water and waste, conducting environmental impact assessments and more.
This NEBOSH course runs across 5 days and is broken down into two separate units, Unit EC1 Management and Control of Environmental Hazards and Unit EC2 Environmental Practical Application. To complete the NEBOSH Environmental Certificate training course delegates are required to complete a final exam and practical assessment.
Formally known as the NEBOSH Certificate in Construction, the NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction Certificate focuses on the implementation of risk management strategies in the workplace.
The NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction Certificate is a 10-day technical course in which delegates will learn the importance of managing health and safety on a construction site, creating a safe working environment by improving standards, understanding and implementing the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, being able to carry out an effective risk assessment, investigate a range of workplace incidents and much more. This course is best suited to those working in construction, civil engineering and broadcasting, such as site managers and supervisors, health and safety advisors, contracts managers and site workers with health and safety responsibilities.
In order to complete the NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction Course, delegates will need to complete an open book exam featuring questions regarding real life workplace scenarios and a risk assessment task. Delegates have 48 hours to submit the exam. Delegates will be informed of their exam results around 10-12 weeks after completion.
The NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety, formally known as the NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management, is a worldwide recognised qualification. Delegates will learn fundamental fire safety techniques that can be apply anywhere across the globe. You'll be able to conduct a thorough fire risk assessment of any workplace and implement appropriate steps to avoid or mitigate the destruction caused by a fire or explosion.
This Fire Safety training course is a level-3 qualification and was updated in March 2021. It is a great resource for anybody in control of workplace health and safety such as health and safety managers and representatives, facilities managers, general managers and environmental managers. Throughout the 5 days of the course, delegates will be able to manage fire safely, understand the role of government and international bodies in developing frameworks, understand the principles of fire and explosion, control measures to minimise risks, fire emergency plan and evacuation and much more.
Assessment of the NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate Course will consist of delegates completing an open book exam and a practical risk assessment with written report.
The NEBOSH International Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety was developed for those working with health and safety responsibilities within the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, especially managers, supervisors, employee representatives and health and safety advisors. Those who complete this NEBOSH course successfully will be able to effectively fulfil their workplace safety obligations effectively both onshore and offshore.
This 5 day NEBOSH course follows Unit IOG1 – Management of International Oil and Gas Operation Safety, which is divided up into 5 elements:
