This online welding safety course will raise your awareness of the dangers associated with both gas and electric arc welding. You’ll understand the process of carrying out a thorough risk assessment and implement the correct health and safety procedures.

Assessment

At the end of this online training course, you will take an online exam containing 20 multiple-choice questions. The exam is marked automatically and you’ll find out your results straight away. A pass mark of 80% is required, however, if you are unsuccessful, you can re-take the exam as many times as you need to at no extra charge.

Who is this Course for?

This online course in welding safety is suitable for anyone who uses cutting and welding operations at work. We focus specifically on metal-to-metal welding, including gas, electric, arc, MIG and TIG welding.

If you are responsible for performing a risk assessment in your workplace, you will find the information in this course very useful for identifying risks and implementing suitable control measures. Managers, supervisors and employers need to be aware of legal implications of welding safety, as raised by this course.

  • How do I get my CSCS Green Labourers Card?

    There are 2 stages to achieving the CSCS Green Card.  It doesn't matter which order you complete the below stages in.

    • Stage 1 - Complete & Pass Safe2Site Online Training Course
    • Stage 2 - Take a CITB Health, Safety & Environment touch screen test at your local centre (Approximate cost is £21)

    Once the above 2 stages are complete you can then apply for your card directly with CSCS.  The cost of the card is currently £36

    PLEASE NOTE - The cost of the online course does not include the touchscreen test or CSCS card application.

  • Is this course accredited?

    Yes the course is certified by CPD (Continuing Professional Development).  Many of our online courses are also approved by RoSPA (Royal Society of the Prevention of Accidents).

  • What device can I take the training on?

    The course can be accessed on any mobile, tablet, PC or laptop with an internet connection.

  • If I fail the course assessment, can I retake it?

    Yes! Don't worry you can retake the assessment as many times as you need and there are no additional charges.
