Electrical equipment (especially portable appliances) can be found in almost every workplace, so it's important to understand the health and safety risks that these devices pose, in order to keep everyone safe from harm.

Minimise the risk of electric shock, electrocution and electrical fires in your workplace by learning about portable appliance testing (PAT). This online course will take you through the basic health and safety measures for low risk workplaces, such as offices.

You'll be able to carry out pre-use checks and maintain equipment safely, while complying with health and safety legislation.

Please note: If you work in a higher risk environment, such as an industrial site or a school, you will need a greater level of electrical safety knowledge. Therefore, this course is not suitable.
