If you work with lifting equipment, you need to be aware of potential risks to heath and safety - not just for you, but those working alongside you. Lifting equipment can cause serious injury if you don't comply with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER).

This comprehensive online course will explain the various responsibilities for employers and employees under the regulations, to make sure lifting equipment is handled and managed lawfully.

You'll understand the potential hazards, as well as how to prevent them – helping you to feel confident in assessing risks, maintaining equipment and planning operations correctly.

  • Hired equipment, pre-use checks, examination schemes and identifying defects
  • How to store equipment safely
  • Ways to reduce risks, including the location and position of equipment, suspended loads, proximity hazards, visibility and securing loads
  • How to lift people safely
  • Ways to prevent slips, trips and falls
  • Emergency procedures, instruction and training

Assessment

At the end of this course, you will take an online exam containing 12 multiple-choice questions. The exam is marked automatically and you’ll find out your results straight away. A pass mark of 75% is required, however, if you are unsuccessful, you can re-take the exam as many times as you need to at no extra charge.

  • How do I get my CSCS Green Labourers Card?

    There are 2 stages to achieving the CSCS Green Card.  It doesn't matter which order you complete the below stages in.

    • Stage 1 - Complete & Pass Safe2Site Online Training Course
    • Stage 2 - Take a CITB Health, Safety & Environment touch screen test at your local centre (Approximate cost is £21)

    Once the above 2 stages are complete you can then apply for your card directly with CSCS.  The cost of the card is currently £36

    PLEASE NOTE - The cost of the online course does not include the touchscreen test or CSCS card application.

  • Is this course accredited?

    Yes the course is certified by CPD (Continuing Professional Development).  Many of our online courses are also approved by RoSPA (Royal Society of the Prevention of Accidents).

  • What device can I take the training on?

    The course can be accessed on any mobile, tablet, PC or laptop with an internet connection.

  • If I fail the course assessment, can I retake it?

    Yes! Don't worry you can retake the assessment as many times as you need and there are no additional charges.
