If you regularly use chainsaws, high torque wrenches and grinding equipment, this online Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome course will explain how long term use can lead to serious health implications if health and safety measures aren’t put in place.

Over the course of just one hour, you’ll learn about the health risks associated with hand-held electrical tools, how to carry out an appropriate risk assessment and implement practical control measures to ensure you comply with legal requirements and keep workers safe.

  • Minimising the risks – tool manufacturers, exposure time, choosing low vibration tools, installing machinery correctly, maintaining machinery and reducing vibrations
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Effective communication and training
  • Health surveillance

Assessment

At the end of this course, you will take an online exam containing 10 multiple-choice questions. The exam is marked automatically and you’ll find out your results straight away. A pass mark of 80% is required, however, if you are unsuccessful, you can re-take the exam as many times as you need to at no extra charge.

  • How do I get my CSCS Green Labourers Card?

    There are 2 stages to achieving the CSCS Green Card.  It doesn't matter which order you complete the below stages in.

    • Stage 1 - Complete & Pass Safe2Site Online Training Course
    • Stage 2 - Take a CITB Health, Safety & Environment touch screen test at your local centre (Approximate cost is £21)

    Once the above 2 stages are complete you can then apply for your card directly with CSCS.  The cost of the card is currently £36

    PLEASE NOTE - The cost of the online course does not include the touchscreen test or CSCS card application.

  • Is this course accredited?

    Yes the course is certified by CPD (Continuing Professional Development).  Many of our online courses are also approved by RoSPA (Royal Society of the Prevention of Accidents).

  • What device can I take the training on?

    The course can be accessed on any mobile, tablet, PC or laptop with an internet connection.

  • If I fail the course assessment, can I retake it?

    Yes! Don't worry you can retake the assessment as many times as you need and there are no additional charges.
